Chemical Properties

OXYPER® Sodium Percarbonate dissolves in water to produce soda ash and hydrogen peroxide.

2Na₂CO₃. 3H₂O₂ -> 2Na₂CO₃ + 3H₂O₂

Hydrogen peroxide can oxidize substrates or decompose to water and oxygen :

H₂O₂ + contaminant -> oxidized contaminant + H₂O
or
2H₂O₂ -> 2H₂O + O₂

OXYPER® Sodium Percarbonate is a convenient way to deliver dilute hydrogen peroxide in soil or groundwater. It is especially desirable when the remediation site is close to residential or commercial activities. It can be used for either  oxidation or to  enhance bioremediation.
